Random Photo: The Stairs

At our Christmas Eve gathering, my two nephews ran up to the game-room which is the only room upstairs besides a small bathroom. My niece Little Iz wanted to go up there but her mother told her no. This reminded me of my paternal grandmother's house when I was her age. We were allowed on the stairs but we were told that we couldn't go up to the 2nd floor. Seemed so darn mysterious to me at the time.

that would really have peeked my curiosity at that age.

Of course it would be more attractive if you weren't allowed to go up there, especially to kids!

My grandma was awesome and would let us ride our sleeping bags down her stairs. I hope I'm as cool and irresponsible as she was when I'm not old lol

How funny. I had the same thing at my grandmother's house when I was a kid- I was always curious as to what was up there that I wasn't supposed to see/know. I never did go up there. lol

When i was a kid i thought houses with stairs were terrific. At that time I didn't know anyone who lived in a two-story house.

I would have been curious, too, as a child!

I think it is a child's curiosity to go upstairs...
She looks so cute sitting there though.

All the best Jan

I'd have been at the top of the stairs trying to peek around the corner to find out why I couldn't go up there!
