Fact of the Day: George Washington Adams

Despite being named after America's first president, and being the son and grandson of U.S. Presidents, George Washington Adams had a somewhat troubled life with a certainly tragic end. He boarded a ship called the Benjamin Franklin and he demanded the captain to turn the ship around and claimed a conspiracy that the other passengers were out to get him. Most believe he intentionally jumped off the ship and committed suicide. His body did wash ashore eventually.
