Fact of the Day: Vladimir Komarov

Vladimir Komarov was the first person to die in a space-mission which happened as his space-craft crashed upon re-entry to the Earth. He was a Soviet Cosmonaut who was deemed medically unfit several times but his knowledge as a engineer kept him in the program.

Those space pioneers were truly brave, truly heroes. As are today's space explorers. I thought we would have colonies on the moon and on Mars by now. It's like we reached the moon, then walked away. If Trump revitalizes our space effort, that's one thing I'll be behind.
