Photo: Petting Zoo Atlanta

There's a petting zoo in Zoo Atlanta. Unlike others, there doesn't seem to be any feed you can get out of a gumball-like machine for a few coins. They just give them hay as you watch them. They were all chowing down at the time, so the goats didn't even notice us.

That is strange but probably a good thing. Last time I went to a petting zoo and got feed for the goats, I came away with bruises all over my legs from the goats attacking me.

How rude of those goats to not share their lunch with you.

Maybe controlled feeding is best.

Someone might give them food they are not supposed to eat as some people don't think.

It might be better and safer this way.

Like Mary said at the petting zoos where you buy the food the goats will make a nuisance of themselves.

I like that they didn't offer the machines. Not only is it safer for the animals and people, I never seemed to have any change on me when we came across them at other zoos.
