Fact of the Day: Kingdom of Westphalia

The Kingdom of Westphalia was a kingdom created in 1807 in present-day Germany. While nominally independent it was a vassal state to France under Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon made his brother Jerome Bonaparte the King of Westphalia until the country dissolved in 1813.
