Fact of the Day: King Richard Heart

King Richard I of England is better known as Richard the Lionheart. Strangely his heart was actually taken out of his body and preserved. Though today, his heart is nothing more than just dust.

Don't go sneezing, may get it up your nose.

Wow to preserve a heart! Perhaps we can go to Twitter to discuss it in 240 characters or less.

Strange indeed. They did the same to Einstein's brain except they preserved it in a jar.

I remember going round and round with my mother over this fellow. His name was actually Richard Lion Heart. My mother always called him Richard the Lionhearted.

That is interesting, I was just reading about him when I was researching information for my blog post on Dürnstein, Austria. It seems he was imprisoned for a time in Dürnstein Castle.

He was imprisoned in Durnstein and he always shows up in the Robin Hood legend.

We actually just saw where his heart is buried in Rouen, France. I'm not sure that it was really there but so goes the legend.
