Favorite Quotes: Education and Ignorance

"If you think education is expensive, try ignorance."

-Original author disputed

I've seen this quote around a lot of places and can't seem to figure out who said it first, but everyone who has said it has said it correctly. Education doesn't mean showing up every day from Kindergarten onward, but having teachers actually teach you more than math problems and historical dates you won't remember. Earlier this year Betsy DeVos became U.S. Secretary of Education under Donald Trump and my heart aches for all those who are now under her thumb. They won't be teaching facts, they'll be teaching ignorance.

She's arguably the least qualified person ever to be in a presidential cabinet.

She was a terrible choice for this position. Completely unqualified.
