Photo: NC State Zoo Lunch

The thing that always bothers me about tourist spots is that the food is always too expensive and not very good. But you're stuck there, so why not? Daisy had a hot dog and french fries, while I had a slice of pizza. Daisy usually says all food is "good" but my slice of pizza wasn't the greatest in the world that's for sure. A little better than frozen pizza, but laughable compared to real restaurants.

  1. I agree that tourist food is usually bad, but ballpark food, especially the hot dogs, are terrific.

  2. Sounds like Daisy likes all food. Fast food not the best anywhere, but sometimes you just want it.

  3. Sometimes fast food is a must and it can be hit or miss for sure.

  4. Fast food is really a lot more expensive than going into a regular restaurant, but I have to say that I am kind of like Daisy anytime we go out and Cindy gets a bad meal, mine is always good...in my opinion anyway.

  5. We always pack granola bars to snack on while we are at a touristy spot like a zoo, then we'll eat somewhere else later. Those prices are just too rich for our blood.

  7. Our local zoo (Bioparc Fuengirola) has surprisingly good food at surprisingly good prices. I was shocked the first time I ate there. Like you, I'm used to bad food at high prices in those places.

  8. As long as the dog doesn't bark (or makes me bark), I'm all good.

  10. A bad slice of pizza is inexcusable. I love pizza.

  12. I'm with Daisy ~ I enjoy food! We had a fabulous pizza today at a pizza place that we love near Beacon Hill Park in Victoria. The pizza maker even took a picture of it baking in the wood-fired oven for me. great fun.
