Photo: Sea Life Aquarium Jellyfish

I don't know what it is about jellyfish, but they are so magical to look at.

Get stung by one and the cuteness will rapidly disappear.
I am rapidly getting the impression, Adam, that most of your followers have never been to a beach!
The sea is full of wondrous creatures but many of them can cause
severe pain to you or death!
Jelly fish are in the death case...........your body will/can become paralyzed and you drown - thus the reason beaches have signs and life savers and you are well advised the read and listen!

They are magical, aren't they? They are almost unreal in a way.

And it's possible that some of them are immortal. It's been estimated that some might be thousands of years old do to the way they divide to reproduce.

I agree. I'm always fascinated when I see them in aquariums!

They are neat to look at. I was on the coast of BC one year and we found so many big jellyfish washed up on the shore...we called it Jellyfish Beach.

We don't have them in our beaches, but we did see some when we were whale watching in California. I agree, they are magical to see floating around, but I certainly wouldn't want to get too close to one!
