The bees have a pretty impressive display at the NC State Zoo. This little hive is actually connected to a metal pipe that leads right outside to where they could easily interact with humans. However I didn't really see any buzzing around for me to worry about getting stung.
Daisy liked the giant faux bee's nest
And this giant metal bee. She said it was too hot to sit on it.
We also spotted this little lizard right before we left. He was lucky he didn't accidentally stepped on.

Good Lord Adam, that looks like a big bunch of bees.
I don't want to have anything to do with bees except enjoy their honey....:)
Interesting exhibit!
Bees are incredible creatures, and we'd better take care of them since the pollinate most of the food we eat.
One of these days I'll need to visit that zoo, but I'm on the fence about saying hello to the bees. Hugs...RO
Nice - I like bees as long as they're not too close.
That would be a big nope for me. I'm not fond of bee's.
I'd be keeping my distance but bees are wonderful little
creatures which Planet earth needs.
Plus I love HONEY.
Cheers
Colin
Some pretty cool things to see!
Beautiful photos, as usual. I am another one who will keep my distance from bees. I sure do love their honey though. Nice post, thanks for sharing it.
I'll pass on the bees. My daughter thinks the fat fluffy ones are cute, but I just want to steer clear of them all.
Gosh that's lot of bees!
I did like the photo of the giant metal bee.
That little lizard was living dangerously, he could easily have been stamped on without knowing!
All the best Jan
Never sit on a bee!
Bees are fascinating! I would have enjoyed this exhibit!
