Photo: Gaffney Peach

Officially known as the Peachoid, Gaffney, SC doesn't have much but they are famous (especially with House of Cards) for their water-tower. It's been a few years since I had seen it, but I heard they re-painted it. So I got to see it on the way back from Charlotte.

Too bad the town couldn't work a tie-in with "James and the Giant Peach." that's the first thing I thought of when I saw your photo ~ the peach in Roald Dahl's book.

Neat! The city closed to where I live has a water Spheroid as well. It's the same shape and kind of greenish, everyone calls it the Green Onion but it is officially the Horton Water Spheroid. I should post a photo of it.
