Fact of the Day: Ancient Fun Jumping

While trampolines are modern inventions, a similar "game" was done by both the Inuit and some places in Europe which involved people being bounced off special types of blankets.

They used to do that in schools here with blankets! I bet that does go back to ancient times.

Hey, they used seal skins of a very large seal species. People held the skin and gave it the power. This was a better thrill than the trampoline and everybody got exercise.

Interesting, I wonder if parents back then made other kids parents sign waivers before jumping on their 'trampoline' lol. I had that happen here with a friend of my sons...ya..

It's a simple enough concept that I'd expect something like it to exist in various cultures and various periods of times.
