Story: Atlanta Taxi

As I mentioned before, during our vacation to Atlanta in 2017 we took the Amtrak train. As soon as we arrived at the Atlanta station, it is a bit chaotic with all the people going to their destinations. But I do remember seeing lots of taxi drivers. They were waiting like parasites, coming up to everyone and asking if they wanted a ride or not.

I already had it all planned out. I managed to dodge them, but I would have said "No thanks, I got Uber!" to them.

  1. When we went to NY City years ago we had the same thing happen to us. But back then there was no Uber. lol

  3. When Uber takes over and the privately owned taxi-driver is unfortunately on welfare, then see what the UBER prices/fares will rise to.
You'll be sorry..........you have been warned.

If it was a steamy Atlanta day or pouring rain you would have been only too pleased to have a taxi driver offer you a ride. Stop bloody whinging, Adam.

  4. Normally when going anywhere out of town I find it easier to rent a car, usually way in advance.

  6. We also like to rent a car when we travel, but I do love Uber. I can't remember the last time we took a cab.

  7. Uber came to our rescue when the car we were in broke down. Regular taxis wouldn't come to this out of the way place in Denver, and Uber was there in 11 minutes. Were we grateful!
