Story: Tea and Pizza

Back when I was in Kindergarten, we took a field trip to Pizza Inn (seriously) and it was a pretty lame idea on a educational level. I did get to see and walk in the freezer/cooler so that was pretty neat I thought. I always liked pizza but...
They gave us all tea to drink... I didn't have a choice and I despised it. Looking back I know it's because some stupid educator thought "kids need to drink something healthier with their fast food". But I honestly thought for years, that's all they served and how stupid it was for them to do so. So that backfired for Pizza Inn because I never ran up to my mom and asked to go there.

  3. Tea seems pretty odd to serve to kids, especially where pizza is involved.

  4. Tea? And I'll bet it wasn't herbal. Tea? For 5-year-olds?!? But, honestly, it sounds like a fun outing for kindergarten (other than the tea).

  5. Maybe iced tea, but with all that caffeine and sugar, I wouldn't give it to small kids.

  6. Oh, Lord! If you're letting kids have pizza on a field trip, why not a little pop too?

  7. I would have loved a field trip like that! But coke instead of tea though I love sweet tea, as a kid, it would not have been my pick.
