Fact of the Day: Many Puppies
If there are more than six puppies in a litter, it is often recommended that humans intervene and help feed the puppies bottled (recommended puppy's formula) milk to avoid any runts from being malnourished or dead.
Six pups! I would hope that you have good homes arranged for them to go to and after the first litter, then have the bitch spayed unless the bitch is pedigreed and then you MAY have buyers to sell them to.
The spaying of ordinary dogs is encouraged here in Australia and when done the registration fee is minimal. Pedigreed registered dogs come under a different ruling. Maybe Margaret from Tassie may know more????? Over to you Margaret. Colin
I got my (now departed) dog spayed as soon as she started to mature. Until there is a shortage of dogs, I'll try to prevent any coming into this world. The thought of so many unwanted dogs, does make me sad.
