Fact of the Day: Ruby Sapphires

Ruby and Sapphires are actually the same mineral called corundum. It's just the color that determines the name. Rubies are typically always red (sometimes pink) but all other colors (ironically pink as well) can be called sapphires while the typical color of classic sapphires is blue.
