Fact of the Day: Not So Fast Turtles

Turtles are infamously known for their sluggish speeds. Even swimming, the fastest turtles on the Earth can't go more than 22mph (35.4 kph).

Fascinating creatures, have seen heaps of them in our travels mostly in the sea swimming around.

Here where I now live at Terrigal, NSW on the beach
you see various species in the lagoons and waterways and even
the occasional one on the beach!

Their swimming speed is pretty fast, you'd have fun catching one in the water.
