Photo: First Moments at the National Zoo in Washington DC

This was shortly after we arrived at the National Zoo in Washington DC. It's part of the Smithsonian network of Museums, so unlike virtually every other Zoo in the world, you don't need a ticket or even a penny to get in.
We managed to pick a day where there weren't that many kids running around.
I'm sure these ducks appreciated that.
The first thing I noticed after arriving was this cool tiger art at the visitor's center.

I didn't know that about that zoo. Very cool though.

That's a pretty cool piece of art.

Based on your previous post, I wonder if the world now has more artistic depictions of tigers than actual tigers.

I'd forgotten Daisy had dyed her hair -- I didn't recognize her at first!

Oh wow! A zoo that's free and not filled with kids?!?!? That's seriously unheard of! :P Very cool.
