Photo: Giant Triceratops at the National Zoo

I saw this statue of a triceratops at the National Zoo. It's a shame we are 65 million years too late to have living dinosaurs at the zoo, unless you count birds.

Adam: Would you really like to run into one of these in a Spartanburg Park or God forbid in a Mall with Fast Food Outlets.
I think the dinosaur would be doing the eating part and it wouldn't be french fries, hamburgers or pizzas - it might be you and Daisy!!!
Just my "happy thought" for the day - ha ha.

I wouldn't call it a shame. I glad we weren't here during the time of the dinosaur. Things would surely be a lot different, and not for the better.

That particular dino was vegetarian. Not sure I'd want to walk through a field where a herd of them had just passed, though. Never know what you might step in.
