LOL- When we went to get rid of our dryer which had quit working-we found at least a dozen socks that had worked their way through the rubber liner and were on the outside of the dryer drum. By then, the mates had all been tossed. lol
I wrote to sock manufacturers suggesting they sell socks in threes and not in pairs. That way we stand less chance of losing them and we're better able to pick two socks the same colour from the drawers. Also, they would sell 50% more socks.
I wrote to them three times. They ignored me three times.
My husband has never lost a sock. He folds them up before putting them in the dirty laundry so both go in the wash at the same time and they both come out together. Us girls, on the other hand, have about 20 socks without a mate sitting next to the dryer waiting to be paired again.

Heh. Those darn gremlins.
It's one of life's greatest mysteries... (Well, that may be a slight exaggeration.)
Sometimes I lose socks. I think the machine eats them.
I think they run off with the plastic lids that keep disappearing.
I just think 'I won't worry about it, they'll show up eventually...and they do sure enough!'
Lost socks and odd socks!
Makes you wonder what is it with socks!!!
All the best Jan

We have a bag full of socks missing a mate. I don't know why we keep the bag.
