Fact of the Day: Bicycle

The English word bicycle is pretty simple in origin, it comes from the word bi meaning "two" and the Greek word kuklos meaning "wheel".

  2. Given the simplicity of its design, I'm kind of amazed it took them as long as it did to invent the bicycle. Late 19th century, around the same time as the automobile. Think about it. We had trains and steamboats before we had bikes!
