Fact of the Day: Ping Pong

The alternate name for table tennis, ping pong actually originated in England. It's a simple onamonapia for the sounds the game makes.

We always call it ping pong when we don't play very competitive, otherwise we refer to it as table tennis. But maybe that's just my family!

When I was a kid we had a ping pong table and my dad and I spent many happy hours playing.

I came in 2nd in my high school ping pong tournament. I had lots of practice when I was young by playing on the one we had at our church. I haven't played in years now!.
