Fact of the Day: Titanic's Final Home

The Titanic sank about 370 miles southeast of Newfoundland's coast in Canada. Its original destination was New York City.

They must have sent down massive lights as well as the camera. It's normally pitch dark at that depth.

I often shared the story of the Titanic with my students. Over a hundred of those who died in the sinking of the Titanic are buried in Halifax. The account of Robert Ballard's discovery of the Titanic is as fascinating as the story of the sinking, if not as heart wrenching.
