Photo: Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture

In a big window at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, I could easily spot the rather new Smithsonian museum that is all about African-American history. We didn't go on our trip to DC, but I will say that place looks like it would take more than a few hours to finish.

This museum was under construction the last time I was in D.C. I'd love to see it!

I think it could be an interesting museum to visit. The building looks interesting and I like the art outside.

We had been so excited to go there when we're in DC in July, but you need reservations and by the time in late May that we tried to get them, they were already booked solid through September! You can stand in line Wednesday mornings and hope to get in, but that doesn't sound like fun. Oh well.
