Fact of the Day: Chicago Globetrotters

When the Harlem Globetrotters became a team in 1926, they were originally based in Chicago. They moved the team in 1928 to New York.

I saw them once in person many, many years ago, and it was quite a show! Hugs...RO

They were formed in an era when most basketball players were white, so "Harlem" was a shorthand way of letting everyone know they were black.
