The spare bedroom will become our first kid's room, but for right now, it's more of a storage room. Though we did host Daisy's cousin's family for a night. I did not like the state of this room when it came to the cheap flat white paint they had all over. Flat finish on paint is not easy to clean and doesn't look very fresh...ever.
I used a gallon of Sherwin Williams Showcase which is a interior latex/water-based paint in a satin finish. We chose Bermuda Teal (2044-50) by Benjamin Moore as the color. Daisy isn't pregnant yet, so we certainly don't know if the baby will be a boy or a girl. Rather than paint it blue or pink, teal works for both.
And here it is! I used some left-over high gloss white paint to take care of the trim. It's actually the biggest bedroom of all as in the original plan of the house, it was the master bedroom. They added (sometime in the past) an extension of a hallway, a garage, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Since the bedroom and bathroom are connected, we used that as our room. It only took me about 3/4ths of a gallon to paint the room, so I have about a quart left for touch-up if the need arises.
