Adam, With the beauty of the cherry blooms lining your walkway....you are blessed. I like to think I am a princess when going to our mailbox and the petals line the driveway. :) I am enjoying your blog. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Adam - petals and leaves DO FALL OFF TREES! I am starting to wonder if you actually live on this planet or you have extremely weak eyes. I note in a previous commentary your feet were aching. Good God you have just turned 30. I suggest you forget a European holiday where to see the sights properly you WALK for klms. You can put a line through any Italian or Greek trip for starters. Colin
It is the Yoshino cherry trees that you are thinking of, they bloom late March and early April in Washington, D.C. They were a gift from Japan. The ones that you are seeing are the Kwanzan cherry trees, I think, they are much pinker.
Too bad you didn't get there when they were in full bloom for the season. I'm sure you and Daisy would have loved seeing all of those gorgeous trees full of flowers. I really wish cherry blossoms stayed on the trees a bit longer. They are always gone way too soon.

Season must've been over the blossoms. I wonder if residents sigh when cherry blossoms fall all over everything.
