Fact of the Day: Chinese Soda

From 1927 to 1948, Coca-Cola was available in China. However when communists took over in 1949, it would be until 1979 (a few years after Mao Zedong's death) that a glass of Coca-Cola was ever served in the country ever again.

During that time period, I am sure they didn't miss a coke.

It's interesting to find out what is and isn't available in other parts of the world.

Not sure they were missing out on much there.

I doubt that thought about that at the time.

Maybe that is why the Chinese of Mao's period have lived such longer lives??
