Fact of the Day: The Final Last Meal in Texas

Like most states, Texas honored the last food requests of death-row inmates by providing them with a last meal of almost anything they wanted. In 2011 Lawrence Russell Brewer requested a large and complicated meal. When the meal was served, he claimed he wasn't hungry and didn't eat any of it. This led to Texas abolishing last meals.

There's always one person who has to spoil it for everyone else.

I wouldn't think you'd be very hungry anyway!

Strange request and stranger results.
I would have thought the penitentiary system in the
so called RICH state could have carried on the tradition.
Then again Texans are not really known for generosity. Meanness,
madness and Tea Party bigotry are more in their line of lifestyle.

Maybe Turnip Top should fill the Attorney-General and Justice Department with Texans? The Texans should fill the bill to his neurotic liking.

While I don't have any sympathy for anyone on death row, that was a pretty crappy thing for him to do and ruin it for everyone else.
