Fact of the Day: Microwave Food Nutrients

The belief that microwave ovens deplete or eliminate all nutrients is a bit of a half-truth. Virtually all cooking methods can harm nutrients in food (typically by heat), and it all depends on what you're cooking and how long it's being cooked for. In most cases, microwave or more traditional cooking, the good majority of vitamins in food remain when ready to eat.
