Fact of the Day: Soviet Paralympics

For most of the 20th century, the Soviet Union was very notable at the Olympic games as they often did well and hosted the Summer Games in 1980. However when they were asked to also host the Paralympics (the Olympics for those with disabilities) they declined as Soviet leadership claimed they had no such athletes.
