Cake and pizza was always a birthday tradition in our family, and most probably a lot of American families. Little K's maternal cousins weren't interested in eating food that much, which was bizarre to me. I remember when I was my niece's age, birthdays was one of the few times where my parents would actually get everyone pizza from a good place, and not from the freezer.
Daisy and I certainly were ready. I was hungry.
Little K sat next to my oldest niece Little Iz.
As for the pizza at the Big E in Gaffney, it was pretty good. First time I had it.
Little K picked out a Harry Potter cake for her birthday. The inside was chocolate, which I don't really like, so I didn't have any. I wasn't too upset, they got their cake from a supermarket called Bi-Lo which I think don't make very good cakes. Somebody once told me their cakes come in frozen, which I've never been able to confirm.
Well either way, I had enough pizza to fill me up. Little K seemed to like the cake, and that's all that matters.
Little Iz got confused by her mom as she wanted to eat candy in the bags, and was told she had to wait until she got home. She thought she couldn't eat the cake either. She started to cry about it until she was corrected on the misunderstanding.
My youngest niece Little R was there as well. Little K makes her laugh with peak-a-boo.
We made this photo with my mom. I thought it was funny.
