Question: Do You Get a Pumpkin For Halloween?

I usually don't, I get too tired to think about it or I don't want to take the time to either carve or paint it either. But sometimes I wish I do.

Are pumpkins part of your Halloween?

  1. I used to when my daughter was younger but I haven't bought one in years.

  2. We got ours yesterday, might carve it tonight. Last year we did an alien. Not sure what this year will be!

  3. Our gr-daughters are now tweens and can carve theirs on their own, thank you very much. Like Christy said, "Maybe pumpkin pie". Just bought some canned pumpkin for about $5 ea. What?

  5. This year a volunteer plant gave us a baby pumpkin so it graces our front porch.

  6. No.
Not that many people "celebrate" the occasion/festival here in Australia.

  8. It just depends on how we are feeling. Some years we do and sometimes we don't. :)

  10. I live alone and I'm lazy. I put up a couple indoor Christmas decorations once and realized in June they were still up.

I like Halloween decorations around town, though. I don't see me getting a pumpkin anytime soon.

  11. Yes, I do. I get a few of them because I like decorating my porch with them. We don't carve them though. Too much work. Before I toss them, we'll scoop out the seeds to roast.

  12. I used to get at least one very large pumpkin every year for carving... and pumpkin seeds. Haven’t done so since moving to Spain.

  13. Not any more ~ I never liked cleaning out the icky, slimy innards. Since I'm retired from teaching and no trick-or-treaters show up at our door, I don't get them anymore.

  14. For cooking maybe but not for decoration, although the grandchildren love them :)

    All the best Jan
