Fact of the Day: Cell Phone Petty

The first handheld cellphone was invented in 1973 by Martin Cooper of Motorola. He also made the very first cell-phone call. The person who picked up was his rival Joel S. Engel who worked for Bell Labs.

My Uncle Carl worked for Motorola at this time and likely knew Martin Cooper, since he was pretty high up in the company.
