My Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Nintendo Switch) Impressions

One of my favorite series of all time is Super Smash Bros. While I liked Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4 (3DS and WiiU), Melee I think had the best feel and movement and overall fun despite a roster that had been very dwarfed by its sequel games. Now Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is here, and I got to play about ten hours of it so far.
The game recreates all past characters and stages in full HD. Smash 4 did a similar thing, but almost every old stage is back, which I love. The past sequels had let me down in that department.
The biggest new addition is the adventure mode, World of Light. Kirby is the lone survivor after a very Infinity War-like battle. He has to go around a world and restore lost spirits to fallen fighters. Once a fighter has been restored, they can help Kirby in his quest. You can also free spirits that can Kirby and friends extra powers during Adventure Mode.
But there are a TON of characters this time around. Every former fighter is back including DLC fighters from Smash 4. Some have been updated, but so far I haven't seen a character been "nerfed" like some of them were in previous installments.
But overall, like most of the gaming community right now, I'm having a blast with Ultimate. It may very well top Melee in my head. I haven't played online yet (waiting to get every character before I do) and I really hope they fixed the lag problems that plagued previous online Smash Bros. games because that was never good.
