Fact of the Day: Urban

The English word urban comes from the Latin word urbs meaning "city".

One of the only lines I remember from my high school Latin class was, “Mea villa est pulcra.” My house is beautiful. Then there was “Mea patria est pulcra.” My country is beautiful. Tsk. That’s all I remember. Sigh...
