Fact of the Day: English Gasoline

The word gasoline was probably invented in 1863, though it was originally spelled as gasolene.

I'm bloody sure in "Pommyland" the word used is PETROL.
Gasoline is the Yank name for the same stuff!
We here in Australia and New Zealand use the word PETROL.
