Fact of the Day: Baron

A baron is one of the lowest ranks in European nobility. The name cames from the Late Latin word baro which meant "soldier" or "servant".

Oh Lord, when I saw the title of your post, Adam, Baron Trump popped into my head. Perhaps his father didn't realize that Baron was a low rank of nobility. Regardless, I wouldn't wish that name on any kid. As a Canadian, I am always torn between my respect for the royal family that was drummed into me growing up and my dislike of the idea of nobility and privilege high or low. I'll probably always have to live with that dissonance ~ LOL
