Fact of the Day: Possum Rabies

Despite their unliked nature, opossums are actually almost immune to rabies.

I love possums. I remember seeing the possums and the babies on their backs running along the fence in my grandma's back yard.

I used to see them occasionally in the woods behind the house where I used to live, so it's good to know I was never in any danger.

When I was a kid we had an orphaned pet possum.
They have sharp claws as expected and when they ran up your
bare legs - holy hell did it hurt!
Possums are the neatest of eaters I am sure in the animal kingdom.
Have you ever seen them hold a slice of cucumber or apple?
They could teach junk food eaters at the Maccas etc of this world a few niceties in table manners etc.

We're supposed to have opossums here in Colorado, but I have never seen one.
