Photo: Little CR First Trip to the Beach

My brother's family went to Myrtle Beach last month. My youngest niece got to see the beach for the first time. While South Carolina is a coastal state, we're about three hours from the closest beach. It took me until I was in middle school until our mother drove us there to see the blue waters and the sand.

  2. First trip to the beach I'm sure was fun. I loved the beach when I lived near one.

  3. What fun! I always lived within a couple of hours of the sea until I moved to the middle of the country.

  6. How did she go on the sand?
Many little ones don't care for it on their feet for the first time.

  7. I've been to Myrtle Beach and loved it because it was during the off season(lol) There's no way I could have dealt with the huge crowds during the in season. When I lived in Charleston many, many years ago, we were okay with going to Folly Beach. Your niece looks quite happy with her very first beach visit. Happy Sunday!

  8. Always a joy to witness a child's first time at the beach (or doing anything, I suppose). I grew up at the beach and don't know a time when it wasn't part of my childhood.

  10. Little CR is so cute! I'm sorry that you didn't get to experience the ocean until you were a middle schooler, Adam.
