Photo: Dollywood's Amazing Flying Elephants

This was one of the first rides we got on at Dollywood. I knew exactly what this ride was trying to imitate, Disney's Dumbo ride. While I assume the two work the same, I really liked this one. Your elephant stays on the ground level until you press a button to raise it. You release the button to lower it. You get a pretty good view of the area when your elephants is at its highest peak.

This would be especially fun for the kids who would feel like they are in control.

I love the fact that you make it go up and down. What a great interactive ride.

The kids insisted on riding the Dumbo ride at Disney World. It was okay, but didn't hold a candle to Space Mountain (beat the snot out of It's a Small World, though. Then again, riding an escalator would also do the trick).

One of my favorite rides at Disney, but I like riding it at night when it's all lit up. I am sure it was enjoyable at Dollywood too.
