Fact of the Day: Pregnant

The English words pregnancy and pregnant come from the Latin words prae meaning "before" and gnasci meaning "be born" in modern English.

I studied Latin long ago ~ No choice, it was required to get into university. I remember nothing of it now. I enjoy when you share word origins, Adam. It makes me wish that I hadn't forgotten so much.
