Favorite Quotes: Muhammad Ali Retirement

"I'm retiring because there are more pleasant things to do than beat up people."

-Muhammad Ali

Ali had boxed for over twenty years, so I doubt this decision was more of a spur of the moment kind of thing. But I could see a man like Ali rarely missing the ring. It is a brutal sport.

I have a friend who watches almost any type of boxing match. Other shows he'll fidget or walk around but when boxing is on, he's glued to that television.(lol) Like you, I feel like it's a really brutal sport, and don't know how people even live through it. I guess the money is a powerful motivator to take or give that abuse. That's a pretty perfect quote too. Happy Friyay! RO

I never really liked him with his silly trash talk but one admired him for his stance on the Vietnam War: "Five years in prison (not served), fined $10,000 and banned from boxing for three years[2]"

Now what did your present C-in-C get for his evasion of the draft????????

Over to you DJ and LV !!!!!

I note that Turnip Top now has youth rallies!!! Is he starting his version
of the "HITLER JUGEND" ??? or the Young Communist League of the Stalinist years and until the WALL came down.
