Photo: Elvis and Marilyn Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge

I'm guessing this is from one of the Elvis Presley movies though I was never a big fan of either of them. Even in "character" it is odd to see the King of Rock and Roll behind a counter serving milkshakes.

But it’s ok because you’d never know that was supposed to be Elvis. Sometimes they miss the boat.

Groups of girls in HS giggled and talked about him. I was still in 4th gr. and had no idea what was so great. You are right, the movies were horrible.

He did do one "Flaming Star" that was a real break from his usual. Actually had meaning.

I only watched a few of his movies when I was a kid because my mom had them on.

I loved Elvis' voice, not all his music and none of his movies...he could not act. Same with Marilyn, sad acting. Or maybe it was just bad movie parts. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I for one sure liked Elvis. Though he couldn't act I liked his movies anyway. Liked his singing and he sure was nice to look at! :)

He was not much of an actor but his music has certainly survived. I always felt kind of sad for Marilyn for some reason.

I love Marilyn, but have never seen an Elvis movie. I had a HS friend obsessed with him though.

This might be a parody of Edward Hopper's painting "Nighthawks", redone as 1950s cinematic Americana. I blew the picture up and that seems to be James Dean on the right. The guy in the tuxedo has me stumped. Anyway, it's not from a movie. Elvis, Marilyn, and Dean may be three icons of the 1950s, but they were never in a movie together.
