One of the few characters that got the best of Sonic at the start of the game is actually a boss later on. Metal Sonic is no stranger to the franchise, and he's one of my favorites.

I recently acquired this photo my mother took during Thanksgiving. I let me nephews play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after they were done with their dinner. My youngest niece Little CR came in, crawled on my lap, got up, and tried her best to snatch the glowing tablet that is the Nintendo Switch. Babies are so easy to predict.

My youngest nephew Mr. C recently turned nine, but I didn't get a chance to give him his presents until Thanksgiving. I just recently got a hold of this picture my mom took. They live about an hour away, and his birthday was in October. This year, they did a party with mostly his friends from school, rather than extended family so I missed out. I think he forgot he was owed a present.

This one was a new one for my Little Brother Mr. B (Big Brothers Big Sisters program) at Big
Air Spartanburg. Unlike everything else, it isn't part of the general admission so it's one Abe Lincoln lost for every ride. While waiting for a worker there to start the thing, a kid kept asking again if it was free. He couldn't take "no" for an answer.

The game's 2nd main bad guy, Infinite challenges the player early on in the game. We first think we're going to fight him perhaps as Silver the Hedgehog.
Realm Royale was rather late arriving on Nintendo Switch as it hit PC (Windows), PS4, and Xbox One last year. I also got a little distracted by other games so it took me some time to give it enough time for a full and fair review. I am a big fan of the game Paladins, which is from the same company behind Realm Royale, though this one favors Fortnite rather than it does Overwatch.

I fell in love with Star Wars when I was a kid, though it took me until I was in roughly middle school to really get into the series. I remember Darth Vader terrified me when I was little, so that spooked me for about half a decade. I never thought I'd see a "sequel trilogy" as Lucas was against it. But Disney wasn't going to sit Star Wars on the shelf, and the results have been mixed. Unlike the majority of Star Wars fandom, I loved Last Jedi, mainly because it was unpredictable. Rise of Skywalker flopped harder than most Star Wars films with critics, with them citing a predictable path for the movie. That didn't stop this super-nerd from seeing it shortly after release.
My favorite thing at Big Air trampoline park in Spartanburg is their dodgeball courts. My Little Brother Mr. B (Big Brothers Big Sisters program) likes it too (he's on the top of the ledge with a blue shirt) but not as much as I. I like to get as many people out as I can. He likes to hide near the middle of the court to "surprise" someone.
Lepa Radic was a Yugoslav communist who was executed by the Germans during World War II for firing at their soldiers. The Germans offered her a chance to live, if she snitched on her comrades and leaders. During her last moments (at the age of 17 no less), she vowed they'd let themselves be known, when they came to avenge her.

In November I took my Little Brother Mr. B (Big Brothers Big Sisters program) to a trampoline park called Big Air. He loves the place, but it is more tiring than a gym. I always like that I can relax for about thirty minutes while we eat. I did notice their pizza this time was better than they had been in previous visits.

Miriam is the main character, so it's hard to hate on her. She reminds me a lot of Shanoa from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, which was the last real Metroidvania that Konami had done.
Now that I have Disney+, I decided to catch up on some of their Christmas films I've missed. This one isn't a major movie, but a small (under thirty minutes) film which I assume was aired on TV back in the early 1980's, about half a decade before I was even born. I've seen the Muppets take on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, but I was curious to give Mickey Mouse and friends a try with this one.

King of Fighters Stadium serves as the home stage to Terry Bogard from SNK. I somewhat remember it from the games, though I was never big into the King of Fighters games.
Spiral Mountain serves as Banjo & Kazooie's home stage. I never got into the N64 classics, but apparently all the games start you there. Think of it like Green Hill Zone in the Sonic series, but for Banjo and his bird friend.
With the launch of Disney+, they don't just draw from a massive well of former Disney movies/show plus all Star Wars and Marvel films, but like their rival Netflix, they're committed to Original Content. Noelle has some pretty familiar faces (like its star Anna Kendrick) and silver-screen production values, so this does seem like it's a step above and beyond something they'd make for the Disney Channel. But the question is, was there a reason Noelle didn't make it to theaters?

This serves as the home stage of Hero (or should I say Heroes) from Dragon Quest. I was never into the series, but apparently this altar makes an appearance in many of the games.
While I do like the idea of using Miis in Super Smash Bros., I've never been a big fan of the Mii fighters in the games since Smash 4. While I like Mii Swordfighter better than Mii Brawler, I still didn't like the fighter much.
I was excited to see this one as I had passed it kind of far away. I thought it was a watermelon from far away, but no...it's not.

Mementos is Joker's from Persona 5's stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It's based on some area in Persona 5 but since I've never played it, I won't pretend like I know what it is.
While it was neat for Sakurai (the series' creator) to put Miis as Smash Fighters in Smash 4, I'm not exactly thrilled to see their return in Ultimate. I think they were all one fighter last time, but they separated them in three different classes for Ultimate.
My wife and I have been making our way to finish Dragon Ball Super as the English-dub finished not long ago. Our library already had Part 8 which officially starts the Tournament of Power though there are episodes which lead up to grand tournament of survival.
This one was called Misty Morning by an artist named Emily Clanton. Apparently she based it on a "day dream" of a trip to the mountains. I don't really see it, but it's a decent bulb.

Jefferson was a pretty good character though I often forgot about him as the series ended. He's based on the Mad Hatter from the Alice in Wonderland stories. But certainly more human and relatable.
Fire Emblem took a long time to make a splash in America, but even before Three Houses came out, I knew the game was super-popular in the United States and Europe. The series had been Japan-only for a very long time, but at least the old-school system where characters would die permanently is entirely optional. Three Houses was the first game for a Nintendo Switch console since the era of the 3DS games. Which makes sense as the Nintendo Switch is both a console and a handheld. But did this game become the series' magnum opus? Or was it under par?

While Napoleon's greatest defeat was at Waterloo, his more embarrassing one may have been during a rabbit hunt. Little did he know, but eventually hundreds of bunnies swarmed him and his party and he was forced to retreat.
