Things I Like: Bowser (Super Mario 64)

One of Bowser's best incarnations was his form in Super Mario 64. You face him kinda early in the game.

What Social Stigma Should Society Get Over?

Personally I think one (out of many) would be the people who hate on feminism. Women are smart, women are leaders, women can be whatever they want to be. They don't have to be married, they don't have to have kids, all they have to be are good people when it's all said and done.

Fact of the Day: Oscar

The name Oscar is of Irish origin, meaning "friend of deer."

Things I Like: Whomp King (Super Mario 64)

One of the first bosses of the game, I'd say Whomp King is the most memorable. A giant rock creature is not an easy foe for Mario alone.

What Strange Food Combinations Do You Enjoy?

I personally enjoy chips right after I get done eating some chocolate. It's a bit strange.

Fact of the Day: Chinese Homework

Homework is common for school students in most countries, with China having the most homework hours with Russia in 2nd.

Things I Like: Wario (Super Mario Land 2)

Wario's first major appearance in Nintendo history was the final boss of Super Mario Land 2. He stole Mario's castle, and the Italian plumber is back for revenge.

Little CR and the Stuart Little Car

My niece really liked this car at the Westgate Mall in Spartanburg, SC.

Fact of the Day: Helen Keller Puppies

During their first week of life, puppies are born with their eyes shut and their ear canals closed. Which makes them technically blind and deaf until they start to grow.

Things I Like: The Simpsons (Season 11)

While not really the series' prime, 11 overall was better than ten.
It had one of my favorite Treehouse of Horror Halloween specials.
 Homer bowling a perfect game.
I also liked when he was a food critic.
Or when he fought against PBS.
I liked when Bart realized MLB was evil.
And I liked the Duncan the horse episode despite the silliness.
Some bold moves were made this season. Like the death of Maude Flanders.
And Apu having eight babies at once.
I also liked when Lisa was President of the United States. Here is when the The Simpsons predicted a President Trump, I wish they had not done so.
And who could forget Funzo?

Little R the Witch

Even though it's not Halloween, my mom got this witch costume for my niece Little R. She apparently loves it.

Fact of the Day: Long Ballet

A typical ballet usually lasts about two to three hours.

Things I Like: Hades (Once Upon a Time)

Probably the last of the really good villians on the show, this incarnation was heavily inspired by the Disney Hercules movie.
He's the god and king of the underworld. And not many can challenge his power.
He even gets the upper hand on Rumplestiltskin.
I found it odd he fell for Zelena, instead of just using her as a pawn.
I did hate that he killed Robin Hood and erased him out of existence.
But it was good revenge that Zelena did the same to him just moments later. Good riddance.

Little CR Eating Pizza

Apparently my youngest niece Little CR has quite the appetite. She tries to eat her sister's pizza when she's done eating her own.

Fact of the Day: Hugh

The name Hugh (and its related name Hugo) is derived from Old French to mean "mind" or "spirit."

Things I Like: Big Bird (Super Mario Land 2)

Not to be confused with Sesame Street's Big Bird, this one is just a boss in Super Mario Land 2 on Game Boy.
A pretty simple battle. The bird flies around and tries to attack.
With just a few jumps making quick work out of the bird brain. A basic but enjoyable battle.

Fact of the Day; Snow in the Wizard of Oz

Fake snow can be seen in the classic movie The Wizard of Oz. It was actually made with asbestos, which wasn't an uncommon ingredient in artificial snow at the time.

Things I Like: Merlin (Once Upon a Time)

While far from my favorite incarnation of the character Merlin in all fiction, he was a decent character on Once Upon a Time.

Great Dane Dog Downtown Greenville

This is a Great Dane I saw while walking downtown Greenville one day in South Carolina. He really was the center of attention.

Fact of the Day: Snellen Chart

A Snellen chart is the most common type of eye chart used around the world. It was created by the Dutch doctor Herman Snellen in the 19th century.

Things I Like; Witch (Super Mario Land 2)

The witch was a decent boss in Super Mario Land.

Little CR Sweeping Floor

My youngest niece really wanted to help "clean up" but little toddlers are rarely "helpful."

Fact of the Day: Edmond Halley and His Comet

Halley's Comet was named after Edmond Halley, an astronomer who did a lot of scientific research on the comet in 1705.

Things I Like: Sewer Rat (Super Mario Land 2)

Sewer rat is one of the major bosses in Super Mario Land 2. A decent battle.

Danny the Cat Being Weird

While at my mom's house, her cat Danny started to lick the package of water bottles. I'm not going to try to reason why he was doing so.

Fact of the Day: Freemasons and Religion

The freemasons have been called a religion by many over the centuries, but they are not a church or a religious house. They typically accept all faiths, but do not allow atheists and other non-theists to join their ranks.

Things I Like: Pako (Super Mario Land 2)

Pako is boss in Super Mario Land. He's a decent challenge.

Rick and Morty (TV Series) Season 3 Review

Rick and Morty is a TV series I started not long and not counting the latest season (currently not done in production) I'm now all caught up for what I've been missing for years. Now is season 3 the best of them all?

Play on Main at Denny's

While downtown, I took my Little Brother Mr. B (Big Brothers Big Sisters program) to one of the city's newest playgrounds. Since it was right next to the Denny's Headquarters (they occupy the tallest building in Spartanburg) Denny's helped in the creation of the place.
